Smashbox x FLARE + Donald Robertson Lipstick Collabo

As an illustrator I have a few illustrator idols that I look up to in the fashion world. Illustrators that have that certain je ne sais quoi. That’s where Donald Robertson comes in.  He has taken the fashion world by storm ever since he started to showcase his fantastic & creative illustrations via Instagram.

He’s since teamed up with FLARE magazine to create a limited-edition lipstick in collaboration with Smashbox Cosmetics. This brilliant red (which looks fabulous with any outfit – I’ve tried it) named Canadian Flare, so appropriate, was inspired by the Canadian flag. Hence the packaging. If you’re a lover of lipsticks like I am, especially red lipsticks, you won’t want to miss out on the chance to buy this lipstick!

It’s available sephora.com now!

Because who wouldn’t want to sport some Canadian Flare? I know I would.

Airport Style – On My Way to Vancouver, BC!

I love airport style. Getting dressed (and dressed up) for the airport is what I look forward to when getting ready for a new travel adventure!

For this look, I decided to make my poncho cardi from Reitman’s (originally bought at Smart Set) the main focus of the outfit. There is nothing worse than underdressing for a day of being in airports & sitting on planes. I can honestly say that I was extremely grateful for the sweater when I boarded the plane (I was anticipating how cold it always gets – why is that again?).

I also wanted to be comfortable. Comfort is key when you’re traveling. If you’re the type of person that can spend a day at the airport and be wearing heels, I applaud you. Seriously. For me, I enjoy wearing flats when traveling, especially when I’m going to be out and about all day long. That’s why I wore my BCBGeneration Loafers (similar style here).

I wore a black top and a black pencil skirt with the idea that even if I did take off my poncho cardi I would still look dressed up. The accessories helped too!

Let’s just say I had great travel experience, thanks in part to the comfortable yet stylish outfit that I chose.

Pursebox.ca Introduces: Knomo London

I’m always on the lookout for trendy and chic bags that I can carry to and from work (my collection seems to grow on a weekly basis!).

When I came across Pursebox.ca I was definitely interested in checking out their vast collection of bags for all occasions and available at all different price points. A happy bag lady they’ve made out of me!

The site offers a huge selection of handbags, purses, totes, from several different brands and the newest one to join the list is Knomo London.

Pronounced No-Mo (the k is silent), this London-based brand has been around for just over 10 years now. The name Knomo is a combination of two words: knowledge & mobility.

These styles are trendy enough to take you from work to wherever you’re headed next. And classic enough that you’ll want to keep them around for years to come!

Check out a few of my favourite styles from the brand.
