It’s the one thing that I never leave home without. No, I’m not talking about my phone (although sometimes a vacation from it would be welcome). I’m talking about red lipstick.
If I ever leave the house feeling like I need a certain something to complete my outfit, a red lipstick is always it! I think the first red lipstick that I ever bought was from Nars, followed by MAKE UP FOR EVER, Dior, MAC, Maybelline and then YSL.

Before I started wearing red lipstick, I remember how long it took me to find one that I was actually comfortable wearing (and that I thought looked good on me).
I remember walking into MAC one day and one of the makeup artists put this awful red lipstick on me (trust me it takes time to find the red suited for you). I’m not one to hide my emotions and she could tell I was not pleased. So she told me that it takes a bold woman to be able to pull off a red lipstick. Really…?! Not impressed with her or her suggestion was more like it!
Since then I’ve found red lipsticks that I absolutely love to wear. And I wear red so often that I’ve had to find other colours to switch it up from time to time. But I always go back to my reds. Love them!
