The Other Bag…(never leaves my side)

I am a self-confessed bag lady. I’m not ashamed…not one bit! Usually you’ll see me trek into the office or to an event with my main purse & a tote in tow. And usually my tote is packed with notebooks, papers, and sometimes a laptop or iPad. I have many places to be and precious little time to stop in between. So everything and I mean everything needs to come with me. When people ask me what I carry in my bags I simply say “my life“! I came across this tote with a purpose via twitter last night – The Other Bag by ALDO This tote looks great & will help me avoid having my main bag weigh a ton (plus some)!  And with a cheeky name like “The Other Bag” what’s not to love(not to worry – I wouldn’t consider this cheating on your main purse!)?      (Image via: ALDOshoes.com) One tote, three cute designs. Save the laptop, reading material, SLR camera, and your pair of flats for this tote and save …

Hope in Purple Heels (and other footwear)…

I love food. I love fashion. And I love a good time! 😉 And when those three elements are brought together for a good cause (namely fundraising)…I never say no! I ventured up to Upper Canada Mall on Sat. Oct.1st to for the Hope in Purple Heels event in support of Belinda’s Place – the first homeless shelter for single women in York Region. …I was a little sad though, because: a) I don’t own a pair of Purple Heels and b) I wasn’t able to find a pair in time! 😦 But regardless I went! And I’m glad I did! The event started out with a catered cocktail hour…and let me tell you..the food was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I was the one that kept heading back to the table with the pasta in a little spoon and the wok with the shrimp! Guilty! After stuffing my face…I mean…eating and chatting it up with other attendees, we were then asked to head downstairs where the fashion show would be held! The show featured clothing and accessories from …

Looklet – Glam Grunge

I love incorporating colour into each and every one  of my outfits. Whether it’s with one of my vintage Swatch watches, or shoes, or bags, or even the clothes themselves – colour just needs to be present.  So when I created this outfit I started with the cardigan first (surprisingly), and then worked  my way down to the shoes (which I love). This would be a great outfit for a cool summer evening headed to dinner, or it could definitely be a very very  casual office look. Either way, I love the comfy look of the pants and the lace up detailing of the heels! And the statement necklace makes the plain white tank pop!

Looklet – S/S Trends 2011 – Wild for Prints

I love clothes that exude colour(obvious from my previous Colour Block post?). And more than that I love prints. So when I put this outfit together I was all about the colours and prints and using them as much as possible. My goal this summer is to wear as many dresses as possible, in as many prints as I can find. Or if I can’t find print dresses, I’ll use neutrals and jazz them up with accessories that have prints. This Carolina Herrera dress is a must on my wish list. Or at least if I can find something similar I might be a tad satisfied! But the blue just pops! And the wedge heels (which by the way are my favourite type of heel to wear) are quite the lovely pair of wedges. Prints are definitely one of the trends for summer that I will be wearing!
