Captured On Camera: Tomato Cucumber Salad Recipe

Have you tried the new(ish) app from Instagram? Hyperlapse takes videos recorded in real time and drastically (and dramatically) speeds them up. It’s supposed to give a cinematic quality to your videos.

I tried the app out a few times already, but now that I should be focusing on what I eat and how I exercise (soccer season is right around the corner), I figured it would be a good way to record the recipes I use and create, and to showcase how I make them.

I figured I would start off with one of my absolute favourite salad recipes – a tomato and cucumber salad with onion and feta. I love making this salad! Super easy and super simple (only five ingredients needed).

Watch to see how I made this salad recipe:

Tomato Cucumber Salad with Feta

2 tomatoes
1 cucumber
1/2 of a small onion
1 tablespoon of olive oil
3/4 cup of Feta

Slice and dice the cucumbers, tomatoes and onions. Mix all three into a dish and add the tablespoon of olive oil. Mix well. Breakup the feta using your hands (or a fork) and add to the bowl. Mix again and voilà! Your salad is done!

I do like to refrigerate this salad for about 15 minutes by placing it in the freezer immediately after preparing. I find that it is best served chilled. You can also add pasta to your salad as well!
